IAFA & IAASA Conference on Integrating Sustainability Reporting and Assurance into Accounting Education

The Irish Accounting & Finance Association (IAFA) and the Irish Auditing & Accounting Supervisory Authority (IAASA) are delighted to host a one-day conference on “Integrating Sustainability Reporting and Assurance into Accounting Education” on the 1^st November 2024 at Maynooth University.

The aim of the conference is to build awareness of the implications of sustainability reporting & assurance for accounting education, and to foster meaningful dialogue & collaboration among stakeholders to drive positive change, by exploring:

• Challenges and opportunities facing accounting education in the context of sustainability reporting and assurance,
• Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and its implications for accounting education,
• Future skills for sustainability reporting and assurance,
• Strategies for enhancing accounting education and student skills development.
