IAFA Teaching & Learning Day 2021
IAFA are pleased to announce that the second Teaching & Learning Day hosted by IAFA and sponsored by Chartered Accountants Ireland, will take place virtually on Friday 15th January 2021.
Building on the success of the inaugural event in 2019, the schedule for the event is designed to facilitate the sharing of teaching practices and peer-to-peer learning. 10:30am – 11:30am Keynote: Professor Ale Armellini, Professor and Dean of Digital and Distributed Learning at the University of Portsmouth.
11:30am – 11:45am Break
11:45am – 12:45pm Jam Session
12:45pm – 13:15pm Student Voice
13:15pm – 13:45pm Break
13:45pm – 14:15pm Chartered Accountants Ireland Presentation
14:15pm – 16:00pm Teach in Three Session
16:00pm – 16:30pm Feedback and Wrap-up
The Jam Session is a round-table discussion on the challenges and successes of teaching online. The Teach in Three Session will consist of 10 short recordings/videos which will be shown on the day followed by a Q&A Session. The recordings/videos address matters such as Delivery and Engagement, Technology and the Online Environment, Assessment and Grading.
The IAFA council is delighted to announce that the 35th IAFA Annual Conference and Doctoral Colloquium will be hosted by NUI Galway from Wednesday 7th – Friday 9th June 2023. More information will be provided over the coming months.
